Director, Sarah Tanner
Sarah has lived in both Uganda and Guinea, the two countries where Education for Every Child operates. While volunteering and fundraising for school expenses during her time on the ground, she felt a deep calling to continue this vital work after returning to the U.S. It was a natural progression to establish a nonprofit organization driven by the strong belief that education is the most powerful gift one can offer a child, paving the way for a brighter future.
In Country Director- Guinea, Mamady Doumbouya
Mamady is the in-country director for our programs in Guinea. From 2020 to 2022, Mamady collaborated with Sarah on various education initiatives, and he will continue to lead and expand Education for Every Child’s effort in Guinea.

Before the establishment of Education for Every Child, a dedicated group of volunteers worked tirelessly on the ground, connecting with donors from around the globe to raise funds for children’s education. Their grassroots efforts laid the foundation for what would become a larger mission: to ensure that every child has access to quality education.
As these volunteers witnessed the impact of their work, the idea for a formal nonprofit organization began to take shape. They recognized the need for a sustainable approach that could extend beyond immediate fundraising efforts. The vision was clear: to create a lasting organization that would continually provide educational opportunities for students for years to come.
With this mission in mind, Education for Every Child was founded in 2024, transforming grassroots efforts into a structured initiative dedicated to empowering children through education.
Education for Every Child is dedicated to providing educational scholarships to students in developing countries. Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic background. By offering scholarships, we aim to empower students to reach their full potential and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
We are currently supporting programs in Guinea and Uganda with the hope of expanding in the future.
Our commitment to donors is to ensure that 100% of privately donated funds are allocated directly to educational programs. We are actively pursuing grants to support our staff and expand our scholarship programs in the future.
